In the last episode, we discussed how Anjanabai and the Gavit sisters went from being petty criminals to ruthless murderers. They kidnapped innocent children, tortured them, and killed them without mercy. Their crimes had no limits, and their thirst for violence only grew stronger. Now, in this episode, we dive deeper into their story a tale of revenge, obsession, and ultimate downfall.
By 1996, Anjanabai and her daughters had spent years kidnapping and murdering children. But this time, their crime had a different motive for revenge. They had killed children before, but now they wanted to make someone feel the pain they had once felt. That someone was Mohan Gavit and his wife, Pratibha.
Mohan had once been Anjanabai’s husband, but he had left her and started a new life with Pratibha. Together, they had two children, and their family was happy. But happiness wasn’t something Anjanabai could stand. She wanted to take something away from them, just like life had taken everything from her. She wanted to kidnap their 9-year-old daughter, Kranti, and make them suffer.
The plan was carefully crafted. Anjanabai and her daughters observed Mohan and his family for days, studying their routine. They waited for the perfect moment, and when they found Kranti alone, they struck. They kidnapped the little girl and disappeared.
They planned to also kidnap Pratibha and her younger child, but luck was not on their side. They only managed to take Kranti. However, to them, it was enough. They had made their move, and now it was time to disappear.
As soon as Kranti went missing, Pratibha knew something was wrong. A mother’s instinct is powerful, and she had heard the stories about Anjanabai. Deep down, she knew who had taken her daughter. Without wasting time, she and Mohan went straight to the police. This was different from Anjanabai’s past kidnappings this time, the parents weren’t going to stay silent.
The police responded quickly. A complaint was filed in Nashik, and an investigation was launched. The search led them to a horrifying discovery Kranti’s lifeless body was found in a sugarcane field near Pune. She had been brutally murdered and discarded like trash. The same fate that had befallen so many other children had now reached Mohan and Pratibha’s family.
Meanwhile, Anjanabai and her daughters had gone underground, hiding from the police. But their obsession with revenge didn’t let them stay hidden for long. Just two years after Kranti’s murder, they resurfaced, attempting to kidnap Mohan and Pratibha’s younger daughter. But this time, the police were ready.

On November 19, 1996, the police finally caught them. Investigators raided their home in Nashik, and what they found was beyond disturbing. Children’s clothes were scattered all over the place. Old photographs of missing kids covered the walls. Bloodstains hinted at the horrors that had taken place inside. The house itself was a graveyard of secrets, each piece of evidence telling a story of pain and suffering.
The women were arrested, but getting information from them was not easy. Anjanabai, as expected, was stubborn and refused to speak. But eventually, it was Seema who confessed. She admitted to kidnapping and killing Kranti but claimed she did it under her mother’s orders. While they were charged with Kranti’s murder, they were not convicted at the time.
Before the trial could even begin, fate caught up with Anjanabai. Within two years of her arrest, she died of illness at the age of 50. The mastermind behind years of pain and suffering was finally gone.
But what about Seema and Renuka? Their story didn’t end there. With their mother gone, would they continue their reign of terror, or was this the beginning of their downfall?
