
Kerala: A horrific incident that happened in Kerala has left people in shock. The Parthanamthitta district police have launched a probe into a series of incidents in which over 60 people abused a minor girl over five years.
The Pathanamthitta district police have launched a probe into a series of incidents in which over 60 persons abused a minor girl. The girl was abused for over 5 years. The case follows a revelation by the survivor, now 18 years old, that she had been abused by several persons since she was only 13 years old. The abuse allegedly began with one of her neighbors in Chenneerkkara, Kerala, showing her pornographic videos on his phone.
The little girl was suffering from the immaturity of 13 years. Imagine being abused right from the start of growth. The accused then abused the girl at an isolated hill near their house and later presented her to his friends. The incident came to the people’s attention when the victim disclosed the abuse to the Child Welfare Committee in Pathanamthitta of Kerala, which subsequently alerted the police.
The offenders were investigated by the police. The police have identified at least 62 people who are potential perpetrators. Based on the findings, the Elavumthitta police have registered a case against these 40 individuals under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in Kerala. Cases have been registered against several individuals at the police station.
The competent Pathanamthitta District Police Chief has formed a special team to investigate he incidents. Five individuals were arrested on Friday in connection with the case. The arrested people were identified as Subin (24), S. Sandeep (30), V.K. Vineeth (30), K Anandu (21), all natives of Chenneerkkara of Kerala. Of them, Sudhi is also accused in another case of abusing a minor.
