A Pennsylvania mother has captured the attention of thousands online after claiming her baby monitor recorded the spirit of her late husband comforting their infant son. Whitney Allen, a mother of two, lost her husband, Ryan Allen, on April 7, 2022, after he suffered severe complications from a bee sting, resulting in cardiac arrest during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time of Ryan’s passing, their second son, Leo, was only three months old. Nearly two years later, Allen posted footage from her baby monitor that showed what she described as a palm-sized orb of light moving gently across Leo’s face as he slept peacefully in his crib.
The orb, which appeared to linger and caress the baby’s head, led Allen to believe that it was the presence of her late husband. “Tonight, I felt like I saw my husband soothing our baby,” she captioned in the viral video. “Ryan never got to meet Leo. But I believe he’s watching over him.”

Allen explained in her video that Ryan’s decline began with a bee sting that caused a severe allergic reaction. Despite efforts to save him, Ryan never recovered. She believes his spirit remains connected to their youngest son. “I believe that somehow Ryan traded his life for his son’s. Forever solidifying Ryan’s connection with Leo as his guardian angel and protector,” Allen stated.
