In the narrow alleys of Sikrai town, where every wall hides a story, an evening of horror unfolded which left the entire area in shock. Afsaana Ban, a nurse staff member and her husband Azaad Mhammad rented a new room in the Higwa ala Mohalla on Monday morning. After a long day, as the sun dipped beyond the horizon, a simple argument between them took a terrifying turn- one that no one could have foreseen.
The silence of the evening was shattered by piercing screams echoing from their room. Neighbors startled and alarmed, rushed towards the scene. What neighbors saw sent chills down their spine. They saw the room drenched in blood. Afsanna Bano lay motionless on the floor, with a knife clutched to her hand, her throat slashed open. Nearby, Azaad Mohammad was also grievously injured.

The neighbors who witnessed the horror immediately alerted the police. Within moments, officers from Manpur Police Station arrived and rushed both of them to the Sikrai hospital. Although, it was too late to save. Doctors declared the death of Afsanna when they arrived at the hospital. Azaad, barely clinging to life was transferred to Jaipur for advanced treatment.
The investigation began, and shocking details emerged. Afsaana had recently been posted to Sikrai Hospital on January 13. Until now, she had been studying with her relatives in Mandawar. On Monday morning, she and her husband rented a room in Sikrai and moved in when on the first day itself, the tragic incident occurred. The couple might be hoping for a new and fresh beginning.
However, fate had other plans. Shortly after entering their new home, an argument erupted between them. What started as a verbal spat escalated into a deadly brawl. Afsaana was found holding a knife, leading investigators to suspect that she may have attacked her husband first before turning the weapon on herself. Yet, the truth remains shrouded in mystery—only a thorough investigation will uncover what truly transpired behind those closed doors.
When he neighbors were confronted and asked to describe the situation they stated that they were in a complete state of terror. The neighbour’s kids can not sleep at night. The neighbor said that they could not believe the reality that such an instance was taking place right there in their neighborhood.
This shocking event has shaken the entire Sikrai town. Locals whisper theories, trying to piece together the puzzle.
As Deputy SP Deepak Kumar Meena leads the investigation, one thing is certain-the town of Sikrai will not rest until the truth is revealed.
