Victim Identified as 20-Year-Old Sai Kumar
The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Sai Kumar. The police, after receiving information about the crime, immediately launched an investigation into the matter.
The horrific murder took place on Thursday night near a local temple, where Sai Kumar was celebrating his birthday. The accused, who had been returning from his farm, was allegedly carrying an axe at the time.
Confrontation Leads to Brutal Murder
Sources indicate that Muthyam Saddaiya questioned Sai Kumar regarding his close relationship with his daughter. The conversation quickly turned into a heated argument, with tensions escalating between the two. Enraged, Muthyam, in a fit of fury, used the axe he was carrying to attack Sai Kumar.
The accused reportedly stabbed Sai multiple times, leading to his immediate death. The brutality of the murder has left the residents in deep shock, with many condemning the act as an extreme reaction to a love affair.
Accused Surrenders to Police
Following the heinous crime, Muthyam Saddaiya voluntarily surrendered himself to the police. Law enforcement officials have taken him into custody and are conducting further investigations into the incident. The police are also interrogating the accused to determine whether the murder was premeditated or if it was an impulsive act of rage.
Meanwhile, Sai Kumar’s family and friends are mourning his untimely death. They have demanded strict punishment for the accused, emphasizing that such acts of violence should not be tolerated in society.
Similar Case in Maharashtra’s Nanded District
A similar case of honor killing was reported from Maharashtra’s Nanded district. In this case, a 21-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by the parents and relatives of a girl. The victim had been accused of stalking the girl, leading to the brutal assault that resulted in his death.

Activists and legal experts stress the need for stricter laws and awareness campaigns to prevent such crimes from occurring in the future. Law enforcement agencies are urging families to resolve personal matters through dialogue rather than resorting to extreme acts of violence.
