Details of the Seizure
The vehicle, bearing registration MH-15-JC-1388, was found to be carrying:
- 305 boxes of Royal Blue Whiskey
- Each box contained 180 ml bottles
- Liquor was legally manufactured in Goa but smuggled illegally into Maharashtra to evade taxes and regulations
The authorities estimated the market value of the seized liquor at nearly ₹25 lakh, with the truck itself valued at over ₹27 lakh.

The man behind this illegal operation was identified as 31-year-old Vishal Suklal Varade from Jalgaon and was arrested at the scene. The bust was successfully led by Inspector Sanjay K. Kolhe and Sub-Inspector Abhay A. Aute from the State Excise Department.
